Rome’s Arbor Day celebration took place Friday morning at Parks Hoke Park on Hardy Avenue in South Rome, where 13 trees were planted to help with the shade in the park at the park during the future summer months.
We spoke with Emma Wells (Keep Rome Floyd Beautiful) about the significance of this event, and also what these trees will mean for people in the community.
Rome Georgia is celebrating 30 years as being a “Tree City USA.”
