Rome’s favorite toe-tappin’, cider-sippin’, and fun-for-everyone Chiaha Harvest Festival is this weekend.
The event has moved to the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds to allow more room for vendors and activities, access to better parking, and no mud.
The festival is Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 5 pm each day.
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $1 for kids 3-12.
In 2019 Schnauzers from 42 states, Canada and the UK were in Rome for the inaugural Schnauzerfest.
After taking 2020 off, the event returns this weekend.
The event will include a costume parade Saturday at 10 a.m. in downtown Rome.
Just in time for Schnauzerfest, City of Rome Public Works personnel has installed two new Doggie Waste Stations downtown, one at Bridgepoint Plaza, the other at Town Green.
