Rome City Schools’ football program will host fans at Barron Stadium for the eighth annual Soap Game on Thursday, August 11.

The system’s middle school, junior varsity and varsity teams will suit up and face each other in a series of scrimmage games.

Admission to Historic Barron Stadium will be cans of powdered Gatorade and laundry detergent each team will use throughout the year.

Below, you will find a schedule and what is required for admission, all broken down by grade level.

Schedule:

• 6th vs 7th @ 4:30 p.m.
• 7th vs 8th @ 5:00 p.m.
• 8th vs 9th @ 5:30 p.m.
• 9th vs 10th @ 6:00 p.m. 
• Varsity Special Teams @ 6:30 p.m. 
• Offense vs Defense @ 6:45 p.m. 

Each team will play 2 ten-minute quarters

Admission for parents and Wolves can be found below:

• Middle school teams – One can of Gatorade powdered mix (6-gallon powdered mix)
• 9-11th grade teams – (1) Bottle of liquid laundry soap, 75 oz size
• 12th grade team – One can of Gatorade mix (6-gallon powdered mix)

Note: There is a very limited supply of powdered drink mix at local stores.

Drink mix will be available for purchase at the gate.
