24-year-old Rome man arrested for Battery, Obstruction, & Meth

A 24-year-old Rome man was arrested by the Floyd County Police Department for battery, obstruction, and drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail Records, Brandon Hunter Settlemoir was arrested at a Sylvan Road Address on Sunday after he allegedly attacked a person causing visible injuries.

Police stated that during the arrest Settlemoir refused to place his hands behind his back and also kicked an officer. Police also stated that during a body search of Settlemoir they found suspected methamphetamine on his person.

Settlemoir is charged with battery (Family Violence), simple battery against a police officer, willful obstruction of law enforcement, felony obstruction of a police officer, possession of methamphetamine, and felony probation violation.
