Etowah Valley Humane Society
Etowah Valley Humane Society — Buddy
(770) 383-3338
Meet your new buddy, Buddy, a gentle and beautifully marked seven year old dog residing at EVHS in Cartersville, GA. As a middle aged man, Buddy is one of our more mellow dogs. He’s happy to follow you around with a wagging tail, or sit at your feet while you watch TV or read a book. He’s a super well-behaved guy that doesn’t bark unless he wants your attention.
Buddy’s days are often spent lounging around with his kennel mate, playing fetch, or following his caretakers to and from the side yard seeing as he’s house trained. And though Buddy loves his outside time, after it’s all said and done, he’s even known to wait leashless at his kennel until he’s let in, in order to get a mid-day nap. Buddy loves long hugs, soft blankets, and strolls around nature, but what he’d love most is a family to share his twilight years with! Come see for yourself what a great companion Buddy would make. Visitation is by appointment only with an approved application on file. Click here to submit the application from our website.

Barkville Dog Rescue
Barkville Dog Rescue — Ellen
Barkville Dog Rescue
(770) 846-8946
Let me tell you about the sweetest girl named Ellen!
Ellen is about 8 yrs old and came from the streets of Clayton County. She came to BarkVille Dog Rescue in May 2022. She has been in paid boarding for one year this month…..12 months sitting in boarding waiting for someone to love her- to want to take her home… to have her as part of the family….Ellen loves people and has done great with all the dogs she has met- though slow introductions are key.
The rescue has paid thousands of dollars to cover the cost of her care…. But we feel like we have failed her. Ellen is a really good dog who deserves the good life- not stuck in a run day after day….. thankfully we have some amazing volunteers that take her out several times a week for day trips and adventures….but imagine how she feels being brought back to sit in a cage.
Ellen truly deserves so much more and is a very loving and low key dog. She has great leash manners and is crate trained.
Could you turn things around for Ellen and show her the love and care she wants so desperately? I guarantee if you meet her you will fall in love!!!
Please fill out a foster or adoption application on our website at www.barkvilledogrescue.org and let’s give Ellen the life she deserves. Someone will be so lucky to add this sweet, mellow gal to their family!!!

Angels Amongst Us Pet Rescue
Angels Amongst Us Pet Rescue — Cleo
(877) 404-5874
Ok Cleo, you need a foster or even better an adopter. Your family is out there! We just have to find them! Let’s make a list of all the pros and cons about adopting or fostering you and see who is interested.
Pros: You’re cute. You’re fun. You’re the perfect age to start your life with someone and grow with them. That eye patch makes you look like a movie star. You’re a super happy girl! Cons: You’re too cute and maybe too much cuteness to handle? That’s the only con we can think of. Being too cute shouldn’t be a problem. So let’s see if your family is out there!
If you want to foster or adopt Cleo go to our website to see her and all the other adoptable dogs and cats. www.angelsrescue.org We also need fosters so we can save more dogs like Cleo. If you have questions, call us at 877-404-5874.

Paw Prints Animal Rescue
Paw Prints Animal Rescue — Willa
(919) 772-9107
Willa is a super spunky girl with a lot of energy. She will need another kitten to play with to help with that energy. It’s a real treat watching her jump around with her kitten shenanigans. She loves wrestling with her foster brother and chasing after wand toys, mice, playing fetch with plastic straws and anything that moves. It’s hard for this adventurous girl to keep still.
Occasionally she will sit on her human’s shoulder or the crook of her arm for a quick rest before she is off running again. Willa loves sleeping independently, with her brother and next to her humans. If you would like to submit an application on Willa or any other Paw Prints kitty, click here.
