An Alpharetta man arrested Wednesday for allegedly kicking and beating a woman and confining her to a hotel room for three days is facing more charges.
47-year-old Darren Donow was initially charged with aggravated battery, false imprisonment, criminal trespass-damage to property, and giving a false name to law enforcement officers in connection with the incident that occurred at a hotel on Hobson Way just off Highway 411 in Rome.
Donow is now additionally charged with rape, aggravated sodomy, kidnapping, aggravated assault, battery, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Donow raped the victim three times over two days and cut her on the left arm with a box cutter.
Not only did Donow keep the woman from leaving the room, he forced her into the room in the first place, according to the report.
