Man accused of paying for merchandise with counterfeit money
A Fayetteville man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Wednesday on felony warrants charging him with 1st-degree forgery.
According to the warrants:
31-year-old Trevon Teshaun Speed purchased over $180 in merchandise at the West Rome Walmart using counterfeit $20 bills on February 9.
He then returned those items to the East Rome Walmart before purchasing more merchandise using $120 in counterfeit money.
Report: Woman found with drugs in her vehicle at probation office
A 36-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after methamphetamine, heroin, and pipes were reportedly found in her vehicle as it was parked at the Rome Probation Office on Marable Way.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Casey Beth Duke of Rome is charged with possession of meth, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, and a probation violation.
Woman charged with criminal trespass, possession of synthetic marijuana
An Armuchee woman is facing drug charges after allegedly trespassing on Avenue B in Rome on Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
24-year-old Teresa Dawn Threadgill was found in possession of synthetic marijuana.
