Barkville Dog Rescue Ace/Max
(770) 846-8946

Ace is a handsome Siberian Husky looking for his forever family! This beautiful boy is estimated to be 4yr old and weighs 71lbs. Ace is an obedient and intelligent boy who is house trained, crate trained, and he knows all his basic commands! He has a medium energy level, and loves to chase his tennis ball, play tug of war, or chew on his hard bones. Ace is both dog friendly and kid friendly. He may also be cat friendly. Ace can use some additional training when it comes to his leash walking, but he is smart and eager to please. He is great in the car, and is well behaved on outings!

Ace ended up at an overcrowded shelter along with his lifelong Maltese friend, Max. These two are a bonded pair and we would prefer they stay together in a forever home. Ace loves the company of sweet and petite Max and keeps a watchful eye on him at all times. Please see Max’s bio for full details on him.

Max is an adorable senior Maltese looking for his forever family! He weighs just 8lbs, and is estimated to be around 10yr old. This little guy is full of life and love, and enjoys the company of his brother Ace. These two lifelong buddies ended up at an overcrowded shelter together, and we would love for them to be adopted as a pair. Max loves to receive attention, and his favorite place to be is in your lap! Although he is older, that doesn’t slow him down – he loves to play with toys, wrestle with his bigger brother, and run around in his fenced yard. He is house broken, knows his basic commands, and has wonderful leash manners.

BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.

The Pawprint Pack Scamp

(770) 865-4672

Hi! Scamp here. I wanted to tell you my story. Bare with me. It’s kinda long.

You see, I’m a 6 year old distinguished gentleman who only wants love and affection. I am by no means perfect. There is truly no such thing as a perfect dog. I was once taken care of. I was once loved. I was once wanted by someone…. Until I wasn’t. After 6 years, I was thrown out like trash. Discarded. Not wanted. My skin started to get infected, I was covered in fleas, I lost so much weight. I was out in the streets of Cartersville just trying to survive. Anything I could find to eat, I ate it. I would drink disgusting pond water that who knows what was in it. I was dodging cars and trucks. I was just trying to make it. Until animal control found me. I knew I was safe. Or was I? Once I was taken to animal control, I was dragged in and placed into a cold kennel that smelled so bad. I only had a hard dog bed to lay in… but I guess it was better then nothing right?

I tried to stay positive. I always greeted the staff with a smile and kisses. I appreciated being fed. This was on going for two months. They’d come see me for all of 2 minutes to feed me and then change out my kennel. And then they wouldn’t come see me anymore. Day after day, I waited for them to come feed me because that meant I got to see people, even if it was for only 2 minutes. But then I found out I was on a kill list. 2 months to long. And they needed space, which I was taking up. I guess this was my fate. I tried so long to survive on the streets, to now losing my life all because another dog needed my kennel, and I was a long timer there. So, volunteers at the rescue worked hard to promote me and get me out to safety. Finally they found someone in the nick of time. I went to boarding for a little bit because my rescuers said I had someone coming for me that wanted to adopt me. When he came to see me, he gave a look of terror and ran out the door. I never saw him again. Why did he not want me? What did I do? I know I’m not the most attractive looking guy, but I really do have a heart of gold. That’s what should matter right? So now, here I am. In a foster home that I’m about to lose. I have no where to go besides boarding again and I really don’t want to go back there. It reminds me of where I almost lost my life. I can’t be put through that again.

So please, I’m begging you. Please see past my scars, missing patches of hair, my color, and my age. I’m so much more then the exterior of me. I’m very dog friendly, and I’m amazing with kids. I just prefer no cats. I’m house and crate trained and I’m fully vetted. I would love a fenced in backyard where I can lay out in the sun all day. I love sunbathing! So please, please consider me. I can be anything you need me to be. Just give me that chance, I’ll be your your bestest friend! Click here to email right now!

PAWS in Middle Georgia Manon

(478) 227-8805

This girl lived in the streets. She was fortunate enough that she found an angel that was willing to provide her food and shelter. Unfortunately, that angel will be moving out of state soon and she was concerned no one else would provide for this girl.

Manon has glaucoma in her left eye. Her vision is limited on that side, and will require eye drops for the remainder of her life. However, that hasn’t slowed her down.

Manon is really sweet. Since arriving at Paws, she has been very chill. She’s enjoyed living in a “house” again. When arriving for a shift, volunteers normally find her curled up on a dog bed, sprawled out on the couch, or snoozing in a cat cave. She’s also been fairly quiet.

We’d love this girl to find a furever home quickly. She’s gone without the joy of a family for far to long. Apply today to come meet Manon so you can provide the luxuries of life she deserves. You can check out Manon, and her friends, both canine and feline by clicking here! Come out and meet us, you will be glad you did!

being the sole focus of your attention.
