-Staff reports-

Motorists are being reminded that the West Rome bypass will be closed for a movie production between Blacks Bluff Road and Highway 27 South through Sunday.
The shutdown will resume Wednesday, April 10 through Sunday, April 14.
The times for the closures are 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Please detour using Walker Mountain Road and Blacks Bluff Road.
The filming is for an Amazon production called “The Pickup.”
Jenni Ivers, location manager: second unit, spoke a little about the filming during February’s Rome Public Works and Traffic Committee meeting.
“Some of our stunt sequences on the bypass include flipping a car over-end, so that will be exciting,” Ivers said. “We will work with local fire officials to make sure we do it safely because there will be fire elements to that sequence.”
The movie stars Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, and Pete Davidson. However, they will not be here as part of the second unit filming.
