Holly is a healthy dog that is ready to find her forever home. She was rescued from a life of living in a small crate on a garage floor with no bedding, and scarce food and water.
She is so grateful to not be in that environment anymore that her tail never stops wagging!! She is a lovable, snuggling, little angel that is looking for a warm bed and loving hands to pet her. She never meets a stranger and finds so much joy in every part of life now! Though she is 8 years young, she still is a spunky girl with big smiles. Demitri is a Chihuahua/Mix looking for a forever family! Demitri was born sometime in Feb/March and currently weighs just 5lbs. He is an active and fun-loving puppy who loves to play chase and wrestle with their doggy siblings! When Demitri is not playing, he loves to snuggle and receive love and affection! He would love a home that has a fenced yard, another playful dog, and a family who will provide basic training.
Demitri and his littermates were all living in a trailer park with their Mom, who was living chained up outdoors. BarkVille Dog Rescue saved all 5 puppies, and will provide all their vetting and medical care. They are all in need of foster homes until they are spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.

Hi, my name is Merry Mistlepaws (aka Myiah). I have a Christmas name because I was adopted as a puppy last Christmas. However, what I thought was my furr-ever home was not. But it wasn’t any fault of mine. My adopter wasn’t able to keep me. I’m 3 and 1/2 years old and a juicy nugget, weighing in at over 70 pounds. I live in a foster home with a sweet old lady and a Chiweenie dog, so don’t let my size scare you off. I can be a formidable presence at the door when a stranger knocks! Now you know why the UPS man has brown pants!
The reality is that I’m afraid, and so I bark and act scary to keep strangers away. My initial scariness has kept most adopters away, unfortunately. My perfect home would be one with my people, where there aren’t new people coming in and out of the house. I can walk on the leash, but I’d prefer a home where I could lounge in my fenced backyard. And while I love my Chiweenie foster brother, I am picky about my dog friends mostly because I’m a scaredy cat in my heart and head.

This is Uwharrie!
Uwharrie is a 7-month-old Retriever mix who loves people, is good with other dogs and has a high prey drive – cats and very small dogs are not recommended. This is a smart sweet girl who is a playful, energetic 7-month-old Retriever mix – possibly mixed with husky. She was found hanging out at a campground in the national forest, so we think she was getting ready for a solo hike on The Appalachian Trail. If you are looking for a trail buddy, this is the dog for you.
Like to play in the house or backyard? Uwharrie can play all day long. But, when done, she is happy to snuggle up on the couch, as long as you share the popcorn. Uwharrie is housebroken, crate trained (though she whines to try to be
close to humans), can use a doggie door, and is great with most other dogs. Her play style is bouncy and can look rough, but she really is just playing. She already has a great recall, but further training would be ideal. She walks well on a leash but is easily distracted by things to play with.
