Fresca is a sweet and loving girl looking for her forever family! Fresca is a middle age (~5yr) Lab/Mix, who is the perfect size – weighing just 30lbs! She has a shiny black coat with brown hues and expressive ears that flop over and stand up straight! Fresca is dog friendly, but does start off timid and cautious. Once she warms up, she is ready to play! She is crate trained, is working on her potty training, and walks well on leash. Walking by moving cars does make her nervous, so she’s working on gaining confidence with her foster family. Fresca has a medium energy level, and just enjoys spending time with her people. She’s very loving and would make a wonderful companion for a retired person(s), or family who is looking for a loyal companion!
Fresca is currently going through HW treatment, and is available for a foster to adopt situation until she completes treatment. If you are not familiar with Heartworm disease, dogs get it from mosquitoes and it is not contagious. It is easily prevented & highly treatable, but requires extended rest during treatment. BarkVille will cover all of Fresca’s medical expenses while she’s being fostered and receiving HW treatment. Hi im Bo!! I came from Bartow County Animal Shelter with my three brothers. They were pretty mean to me and didn’t let me eat much. I had a really bad skin infection and was very underweight. Despite all that, and the 100 baths I have taken since then, I have NEVER shown the first sign of aggression! BUT, look at me now! I’m a Great Pyrenees/Staffy mix so I will be a big boy!
My favorite things are playing outside with my sisters and brother (all large breed dogs), watching my cat sister prance around the house, and loving on my three human brothers and sister. My foster mom would say that I am very submissive. I am house and crate-trained and sleep through the night (in my human’s bed, of course). I love to sit in my human’s lap while they watch TV and get all the pet pets. I am working on general commands and walking on a leash (he needs to be in a harness leash, a regular collar leash freaks him out for some reason). I am going to need someone to be patient with me while I learn to trust you. But once you earn my trust, I promise to be the most loyal, loving boy you have ever met! Lady Catelyn was found by a kind soul when she was days away from delivery. They gave her a safe space to deliver her pups and then had animal control come pick the family up. Catelyn and kids arrived at Paws when the babies were about 2 weeks old. They were rolly polly lil things that everyone fell in love with.
All of her babies quickly found homes as soon as they turned 8w. Now its Catelyns turn…
Catelyn is a very petite girl. She’s about the size of a beagle, weighing in at 30lb. She is sweet as sundrops and loves to spend time with people. Now that she’s got her girlish figure back, she is very anxious to get some exercise. She loves to run and would do best with an active home and a big fenced yard to let her zoom around. She will need to be supervised in the yard for a while as it seems she’s part kangaroo as well. This may lessen when she’s able to get her energy out more and she knows she’s home. She loves to play with toys and enjoys a good game of fetch.
Catelyn has had such a rough beginning to life. A life she didn’t ask for. We are hoping she finds her furever family quickly so she can be spoiled, loved, and make beautiful memories with her people.”
