Monday morning, the Exchange Club of Rome hosted a Veterans Day Parade on Broad Street to honor local veterans.

The grand marshal was 100-year-old World War II veteran John Dempsey.

Marching in the parade were four local high schools alongside military vehicles.

The parade finished at Myrtle Hill for a Veterans Day Ceremony featuring Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain David Thornton as the keynote speaker.
