Emergency crews responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident in the area of Timberwood Drive and Ramblewood Drive.
According to dispatch from Floyd County 911, a school bus driver reported that a juvenile had been struck by a red Toyota Tacoma (the school bus was not involved).
Dispatchers received reports that the child appeared to have serious injuries.
Rome-Floyd firefighters performed CPR on the victim when they arrived at the scene.
Atrium Health Floyd EMS transported the juvenile to the hospital by ambulance using emergency traffic.
