Report: Man arrested for aggravated stalking calls victim from jail
A Rome man is facing two counts of aggravated stalking.
According to the arrest warrants:
42-year-old Heith Hadden Swanson violated a temporary protective order twice in five days.
Less than five hours after the order was issued, Swanson sent the victim a text message.
Four days later, he went to the victim’s home while she was at work.
He parked in the yard and then pulled into the garage, where he stayed for more than half an hour.
Authorities went to Swanson’s residence, and he ran throughout the home after being informed he was under arrest, resulting in a misdemeanor obstruction charge.
After being arrested, Swanson used the phone at the jail to once again contact the victim.
Man accused of stealing from Walmart
An Aragon woman has been arrested on a warrant charging her with felony theft by shoplifting.
According to the warrant:
61-year-old Eylonda Kay Luker took more than $500 in merchandise from the East Rome Walmart between March 29 and June 12.
