-Rome Police Department report-
Rome Police responded to reports of vehicles being entered in the West Rome area between Thursday evening and Friday morning of last week.
A man on Ridge Drive off of Coosawattee Avenue reported that a Smith and Wesson firearm was taken from the center console of his vehicle.
A bag containing a substantial amount of loose change was left behind.
Another report stated that four vehicles on Billy Pyle Road had also been rummaged through.
A small bottle of change, approximately $3-$4, was the only thing that had been taken.
Video surveillance captured two suspects going through some of the cars.
