Two charged with aggravated assault
Two Rome residents are accused of assaulting one another during an altercation at their Berry Run Drive home over the weekend.
According to Floyd County jail records:
34-year-old Tyrease Rashun Creamer put his hands around 40-year-old Tameka Ann Rodgers’ throat while Rodgers cut Creamer’s throat, resulting in a laceration.
Both Creamer and Rodgers are charged with aggravated assault.
Man charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats
An Armuchee man has been arrested following an incident at his Old Dalton Road home.
According to Floyd County jail records:
52-year-old Donnie Eugene Lingerfelt threatened to beat up a man and then approached the victim with a knife.
At the hospital, Lingerfelt grabbed a nurse’s arm and told her that he was going to kill the man.
Lingerfelt is charged with aggravated assault, two counts of terroristic threats and acts, and a single count of simple battery.
Report: Man found with fentanyl, two firearms
An East Rome man was arrested on drug and weapons charges on East Drive at Shorter Avenue over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
30-year-old Jacquan Dominique Brock was found with fentanyl pills and two firearms.
Brock is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Woman charged with fleeing or attempting to elude
A woman from Winder, Georgia, is facing a charge of fleeing or attempting to elude following her arrest at the intersection of Rush Chapel Road and Calhoun Road early Monday morning.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
21-year-old Angelina Marie Escobar failed to pull over for police.
She was clocked going 109 miles per hour and passed other vehicles on a two-lane road.
Escobar is also charged with reckless driving and speeding.
Idaho man charged with theft by taking
A man from Moyie Springs, Idaho, has been arrested in a theft dating back to March of 2024.
According to an arrest warrant:
26-year-old Kolton Allen Carroll took an Xbox One, two video game controllers, and 23 Nintendo Switch games from a residence on Rising Fawn Trail.
He then pawned the items, valued at $2,200, in Calhoun.
Carroll is charged with felony theft by taking.
