A Rome man is facing a long list of drug-related charges following his arrest over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
37-year-old Gregory Crawford Jr. had an active warrant for child support and fled on foot from his residence on Dodd Boulevard, leaving behind a bag containing a Smith and Wesson handgun, cocaine, marijuana, MDMA, suspected hydrocodone, packaging materials, and a digital scale.
Crawford was seen getting into a Dodge Journey, which police followed to the area of East 12th Street, where Crawford got out and again fled on foot.
He was apprehended a short distance away.
Crawford is charged with drug trafficking, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I and Schedule IV controlled substances, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of drugs within 1,000 feet of a school, abandonment of dangerous drugs, possession of drugs not in the original container, possession of drug-related objects, obstruction of law enforcement, and contempt of superior court.
