The Floyd County Board of Elections will hold a called meeting on Friday to certify the results of the April 7 special election runoff.
Republican Clay Fuller defeated Democrat Shawn Harris in the election to replace Marjorie Taylor Greene, representing the 14th District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, Republican Lanny Thomas defeated Jack Zibluk to win the election to the 53rd District seat in the Georgia State Senate.
He will fill out the unexpired term of Colton Moore, who stepped down to run for Congress.
The elections board meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Floyd County Election Center, 18 East 12th Street in Rome.
Caucus will be held prior to the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
This meeting will also replace the regularly scheduled monthly meeting for April.
It is open to the public.
