Man charged after crashing into power pole
A Rome man was arrested following a crash near his Walnut Avenue home on Sunday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A vehicle driven by 29-year-old Luis Tomas Felipe swerved off the roadway on the Walnut Avenue Bridge and struck a power pole, breaking it in half.
Felipe is charged with 1st-degree criminal damage to property and DUI.
Two arrested on drug charges
Two more arrests have been made following the execution of a search warrant at a home on Hooper Avenue in Lindale back on April 11.
34-year-old Sara Larae McCain and 64-year-old Tony O’Neil Cromer, both of Lindale, are charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects, and possession of dangerous drugs.
According to the arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records:
Both were found with meth, Gabapentin pills, digital scales, and smoking devices.
43-year old Dana Marie Wise of Lindale and 44-year old John Thomas Duvall Jr. of Cedartown were arrested last week and charged with possession of meth and possession of drug-related objects.
Man charged with meth possession, fugitive from justice
A Cave Spring man was arrested on Turner McCall Boulevard Sunday on various charges, including possession of a controlled substance and fugitive from justice.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
61-year-old Donald Eugene Nichols Jr. was found with suspected methamphetamine and a pill in his pocket during a search.
Nichols is also charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drugs not in the original container, and failure to appear in court.
Man arrested on drug charges
A 52-year-old Rome man was arrested at Blacks Bluff Road and the Southwest Bypass Saturday on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Michael Wayne Amos was found with suspected methamphetamine in a taped prescription bottle and a small amount of marijuana.
Amos is charged with possession of meth and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Man charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm
A homeless man was arrested on Oreburg Road in the Coosa area on Sunday.
According to Floyd County jail records:
42-year-old Gary Michael Turner was seen with a firearm on video from a doorbell camera on Kraftsman Road between March 22 and March 27.
Turner is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, misdemeanor obstruction, and a probation violation.
