Charges have been filed in a Monday morning wreck on Highway 27 North at Dixie Park Road.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
40-year old Shannon Marie Hampton of Rome was under the influence at the time of the crash, which left one person with a broken left leg.
During an inventory search of Hampton’s vehicle, a clear, plastic baggie containing methamphetamine was found in her purse.
A burnt marijuana cigarette was located inside a cigarette box located in the back seat.
Hampton is charged with felony counts of serious injury by vehicle and possession of meth, along with misdemeanor counts of DUI, failure to yield while turning left, no seat belt, suspended registration, and failure to yield while turning.
