One person is in custody following a report of a robbery and foot chase in West Rome on Wednesday.
According to Rome Police:
At approximately 1:06 pm, a call was received regarding a potential armed robbery situation at the Credit Union located inside the West Rome Walmart.
The situation led to a foot chase and K9 involvement, and with the partnership of the Georgia State Patrol and Floyd County Police Department, the suspect was apprehended.
The suspect is undergoing medical clearance at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center.
