A corporal with the Rome Floyd County Fire Department died in a single-vehicle wreck Saturday in Paulding County.
According to the Georgia State Patrol:
A Ford F-250 driven by Garrett Kent left the roadway on a curve on Pine Shadows Drive, striking a mailbox and a group of trees.
Kent was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Rome-Floyd County Fire Department posted the following on its Facebook page,:
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Corporal Garrett Kent. We ask that you keep his family and our department’s brothers and sisters in your prayers during this difficult time.”
