Woman facing child cruelty charge
A 38-year-old Rome woman is accused of leaving a child under the age of two years old home alone on Thursday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
The unsupervised child wandered away from the home on Dodd Boulevard.
Hannah Natoya Nebitt is charged with 2nd-degree cruelty to children.
Identity fraud charge filed against Rome woman
A Rome woman was arrested Thursday at her Burr Drive home on a felony warrant charging her with identity fraud.
According to the warrant:
43-year-old Tamela Dawn Brown used a man’s banking account formation without his consent to make a withdrawal of $600 at a bank on Martha Berry Boulevard back on August 3.
Two arrested on drug charges
Two people were arrested at Harvey Street and Copeland Street in North Rome Thursday on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A Dodge Ram driven by 49-year-old Andre Michael Irvin of Rome was stopped for failure to maintain a lane and failure to use a turn signal.
The vehicle was searched due to the odor of marijuana.
Police seized glass pipes with cocaine residue and marijuana from the driver’s door and center console.
Crack cocaine was also found in the center console.
Irvin and 20-year-old Jaya Jabre Garret of Rome were charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana, and drug-related objects.
Garrett was also charged with giving a false name or address to law enforcement officers, failure to appear, and a probation violation.
