Wednesday morning a group from the National Police of Ukraine visited the Floyd County Jail and received a tour of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office facility.
The group also toured the Rome Law Enforcement Center downtown with the Rome Police Department, the Floyd County Police Department, and also the Floyd 911 call center.
In the video above, WRGA News had an interview with Aleks Gerasimov where he interpreted the reason for the visit on behalf of the Ukraining Police officers.
Aleks Gerasimov serves as the chaplain for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and also leads efforts to accept donations to help out Ukrainians during this time of war with Russia.
