Man accused of assaulting another man with body spray
A West Rome man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted and threatened another man on Lynn Haven Drive.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
27-year-old Kyler Jacob Stewart sprayed the victim in the eyes with body spray, temporarily blinding him.
He then threatened to stab the victim with a pen.
As Stewart left the residence, he broke a glass storm door, valued at $500, and again threatened the victim—this time with a stick.
Stewart is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, terroristic threats and acts, and 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.
Report: Man used vehicle as a weapon against a woman on Alabama Highway
A Coosa man is accused of using a motor vehicle to assault a woman on Alabama Highway at Salem Drive on Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
38-year-old Adrian Lanick Diamond followed the victim in an attempt to start an argument.
He drove in a reckless manner, changing lanes to strike the woman’s vehicle.
Diamond is charged with a felony count of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor count of reckless driving.
Man charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
A West Rome man is facing a felony charge following a probation search at his Leafmore Road home on Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A Georgia Department of Corrections officer located a firearm in the residence.
33-year-old Antoine Deshaune Peak is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Warrant: Man attempted to cash a fictitious check for $4,980
A Coosa man is accused of attempting to cash a fictitious check at a credit union on North Broad Street on August 12.
According to an arrest warrant:
The check was in the amount of $4,980.
64-year-old Samuel Robert Morris Lansdell is charged with a felony count of deposit account fraud.
Two charged with aggravated stalking
Two Rome residents have been charged with aggravated stalking in an incident involving one another.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
68-year-old Randy Dewayne Smith and 40-year-old Amie Michelle Vaughn were both at a residence on Hull Avenue at the same time.
Smith was not supposed to have contact with Vaughn as part of a conditional bond, while Vaughn had been ordered not to be around Smith as part of her probation.
The two used to be in a relationship and have a child together.
