-Blood Assurance-
Blood Assurance is holding a number of blood drives this month in the Rome area.
Donations will be collected at Model High School on March 11 and at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center on March 16 from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day.
Another blood drive will be at Georgia Northwestern Technical College in Rome on March 17 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
You can also donate during the Intercultural Fest at 900 Shorter Avenue on March 21 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and at Coca-Cola United on Cedartown Highway on March 23 from 2 until 5 p.m.
Donors who give through the 17th will receive a pair of St. Paddy’s themed socks while supplies last.
Donors who give March 18-31 will have a chance to win a $100 eGift card.
To be eligible to donate, you must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parental consent), weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in good health. Donors are asked to drink plenty of fluids and eat a hearty meal prior to donating.
