Man charged with aggravated assault
A Garden Lakes man is accused of assaulting a Calhoun man during a softball game at North Floyd Park on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
46-year-old John Marcus Williams got angry and threw a softball at the victim.
The report states the ball was thrown with such force that it would have caused serious injury had it struck the victim.
Williams is charged with a felony count of aggravated assault.
Woman charged with computer forgery, theft by conversion
A Cave Spring woman is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing nearly $102,000 from a local landscaping company.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
41-year-old Jennifer Lynn Hall used a computer and the victim’s Sam’s Club card to convert funds or property to her own use between January 1, 2022, and June 23 of this year.
She is charged with computer forgery, computer theft, financial transaction card fraud, and theft by conversion.
