A small grass fire occurred in the backyard of a house near Burnett Ferry Road on Brook Crest Drive on Wednesday afternoon.

The Rome/Floyd Fire Department was able to get to the scene and put out the fire relatively quickly thanks to a 911 call from a next-door neighbor who noticed the blaze.
