On Friday morning Shannon Road, near the intersection of Hwy 53, was temporarily blocked for a few hours when a transfer-trailer-truck overturned.

The driver of the transfer truck received no injuries as a result of this accident.

Floyd County Police on the scene say the incident occurred possibly due to the vehicle trying to take a turn too quickly.
