STAFF REPORTS
By a 7-0 vote, the Rome City Commission voted Monday night to enter into a contract with RedSpeed USA for speed detection cameras for the Rome High/Rome Middle school zone on Veteran’s Memorial Highway.
The agreement will be for 60 months and would be automatically extended for up to five additional one year periods.
However, the city may terminate the agreement after any term.

During the caucus, the city heard the latest regarding coronavirus and the community’s response from Floyd County Emergency Management Agency Director Tim Herrington and Northwest Georgia Public Health Director Dr. Gary Voccio.
“I would be remiss if I did not remind our viewing audience to get a flu shot and to thoroughly wash their hands in light of what we heard during our caucus,” said Rome City Manager Sammy Rich during the meeting.
