STAFF REPORTS
In the past, when the nation has faced tragedy, like on September 11, vigils were held and people came together. However, with COVID-19, circumstances do not permit such activities. But rest assured, people will always find a way.
On Sunday, area residents filled the parking lots at Floyd Medical Center and Redmond Regional Medical Center to worship, show their appreciation and pray for the healthcare workers on the frontline of the Coronavirus pandemic and those who are in their care.
Practicing social distancing, no one left their vehicles. And although separated by metal and glass, there was a sense of togetherness among those there.
All believing in one community and one voice, and together, we will get through this.
