July 3, 2020–9:31 a.m.
There are plenty of things to do in Rome and Floyd County tomorrow to celebrate Independence Day.
Cave Spring will hold its annual Independence Day Parade starting at 9 a.m. Anyone who would like to be in the parade is asked to line up at the depot starting at 8:15.
Meanwhile, in Downtown Rome, there will be a small Independence Day event on the lawn of the Law Enforcement Center from 2 pm until 5 pm Saturday. That event will also feature a small parade.
Then, tomorrow night, the skies above Rome will be alight with Rome’s 2020 Fireworks Extravaganza presented by Redmond.
This year, the fireworks will be launched from the top of Jackson Hill allowing more people than ever to be able to enjoy the display from around town.
Q102 at 102.3 FM will serve as the soundtrack to the fireworks display, playing patriotic music to go along with the show.
