In consideration of health and safety concerns for our entrants, vendors, volunteers, and patrons due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Coosa Valley Fair Association Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Coosa Valley Fair until fall 2021.
“For many months now, we have been closely monitoring the number of cases and hospitalizations due to the coronavirus pandemic. We had been hoping to be able to put on the 72nd Coosa Valley Fair, as it is such a traditional fall event for the community. Unfortunately, as we have seen a rise in cases, we just cannot risk the health and safety of our volunteers, visitors, and vendors. It was definitely not an easy decision for our board to make, as proceeds from the Coosa Valley Fair benefit the Family Resource Center and so many other organizations in the community,” said J.P. Cooper, the 2020 president of the Coosa Valley Fair Association.
Cooper went on to add, “With each passing year of the Coosa Valley Fair, we have been extremely fortunate to have so many supportive patrons from all over the Coosa Valley area. We are hopeful that next year’s event will be even bigger and better, allowing us to increase our support in the local community.”
