A 53-year old Cartersville woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a 15-foot U-Haul moving truck was traveling west on Highway 20 approaching its intersection with Roving Road.
The U-haul turned left into the path of a Chevy Camaro that was traveling east and the vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of the Camaro, Myra Turner of Cartersville, was pronounced dead on the scene.
A passenger in the Camaro was transported to Cartersville Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
After the crash, the driver of the U-Haul truck carjacked a vehicle that had stopped near the scene.
Shortly after the carjacking, the suspect was located and apprehended by Bartow County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
