FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A man who reportedly barricaded himself in a Burnett Ferry Road home Wednesday, resulting in a SWAT callout, is facing an additional charge.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 24-year old Michael Reece Ellis is now charged with felony theft by taking.

He is accused of taking a firearm from a locked cabinet in the home before barricading himself in a closet.

Ellis is also charged with criminal trespass for being in the residence without permission and staying despite being asked to leave.
