October 8th, 2020 –

Gordon County Sheriff’s Office – 

Around 7:50 AM on October 8, Gordon County Deputy Sheriffs were dispatched to a private residence on Dews Pond Road near Calhoun in response to a report of a death.

There, deputies found the body of an adult male who’d died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Investigating detectives do not believe any foul play was involved.

The investigation by Sheriff’s detectives and the County Coroner’s Office is continuing.
