Floyd County saw 312 confirmed COVID-19 cases between December 19 and Christmas Day.

The 14-day testing positivity rate was 16.9%.

The number of new cases combined with the testing positivity rate means that Floyd County remains a county with high transmission indicators.

Another 35 Floyd County residents tested positive from Sunday to Monday, according to the latest status report from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

That brings the total to 6,499 since the start of the pandemic.

106 Floyd County residents have died from the virus since March.
