A 56-year old Rome man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred October 16 at a location on Maple Street.

According to the arrest warrants, Cortez Stanley Benjamin used a padlock in a bag to strike a man in the back of the head twice.

Benjamin then took $80 from the victim.

Benjamin is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.
