Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Red Bud Road near Knight Drive in Calhoun Monday morning.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a commercial vehicle that hauls dumpsters rear-ended four vehicles that had stopped due to a previous crash.

Two of the vehicles were pushed off an embankment and overturned.

A 74-year-old male was airlifted to the hospital.

A 61-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were transported by ambulance.
