The Wings Over North Georgia Air Show is this weekend.
On Thursday, the US Navy Blue Angels flew into the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport.
The Blue Angels travel the county, representing the more than 800,000 sailors, marines, and active-duty reserve and support personnel deployed around the world, defending the nation.
This is the 75TH anniversary of the Blue Angels and the debut season for the F-18 Super Hornet.
Some of the demonstration team’s maneuvers take them to 7-and-a-half times the force of gravity.
The Wings Over North Georgia Air Show is Saturday and Sunday.
Other performers include the A-10 Thunderbolt II, U.S. Army Special Operations Command Black Daggers, and C-17 Globemaster III Demonstration Teams.
