The Rome Christmas Parade is coming up this Tuesday, and then on December 4, there will be a Christmas Parade in Lindale.
The Lindale parade will begin lining up that day at 2 p.m. at Pepperell Primary School.
It will start at 2:30, go north up Park Avenue, and end at the 1st Baptist Church.
According to Tim Reynolds with Restoration Lindale, a toy drive is being held in conjunction with the parade.
“We ask that those who participate in the parade to bring one toy, whether it be for a boy or a girl,” he said. “We will collect those at our Christmas Festival. They will be carried over to the primary school for the kids in our community who may not otherwise receive a gift for Christmas.”
Of course, the star-lighting ceremony will cap off the day of events.
The star has lit the night sky during the holidays in Lindale for the past 90 years.
