STAFF REPORTS
In celebration of 90 years of the star between the stacks at the mill in Lindale, a Christmas trolley tour will take place Tuesday night.
The tour will begin at 6 p.m., according to Tim Reynolds with Restoration Lindale.
“Tickets can be purchased at the gift shop in Rome for $20 per person,” he said. “We will then meet at the train platform there in Lindale and board the Roman Rose trolley for a tour through the village. Then, I am going to share some stories about the star and how it came about during the tour.
Reynolds said nothing like this has ever been done before in Lindale.
“I think it’s a great way to celebrate Christmas,” he added. “Also, the Pepperell High School chorus is going to be there, singing carols afterward. There will also be some warm refreshments. So, we are really looking forward to hosting this event in Lindale.”
Again, tickets are available at the Georgia’s Rome Gift Shops on Jackson Hill and on West 1st Street.
Parking will be available at the platform and at the First Baptist Church.
