Two Gainesville, Georgia residents are accused of participating in the delivery of drugs and tobacco to a Floyd County Prison inmate on a work detail at the Rome-Floyd Recycling Center.

According to Floyd County Jail records, the contraband, which included more than 139 grams of marijuana and more than 907 grams of tobacco, was placed into a cardboard recycling bin.

68-year old Nora Gulch Ellis and 39-year old Lucas Ryan Knott are both charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of items prohibited for inmates, and possession of drugs within 1,000 feet of a school.

The recycling center is located across the street from West Central Elementary.

Knott is also charged with the use of a communications facility to commit a drug crime for conspiring with the inmate via recorded phones calls and video visitation at the prison.
