A Lindale man has been arrested on charges of 1st-degree burglary, simple assault, and five counts of 1st-degree cruelty to children.
According to the arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records:
29-year-old Dusty Ryan Brooks kicked in the front door of a home on Hosea Street, entered the residence, and assaulted a woman inside.
There were five children in the home during the incident, according to the report.
Report: Man had stolen firearm
A stolen firearm lands a Rome teenager behind bars.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
18-year-old Cody Damecone Gregory admitted to authorities that he had received the gun, which had been reported stolen.
He is charged with a felony count of theft by receiving stolen property.
Two arrested on felony marijuana charges
Two men were arrested at a home on Goodman Road Wednesday on felony drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
23-year-old Marcus Anthony Scott and 28-year-old Trayron Marquez Bexley were found with several ounces of marijuana, blunt wraps, cash, and digital scales.
Both are charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug-related objects.
Scott was also found with a semi-automatic handgun resulting in an additional charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
