The northbound lanes of Highway 53 in the Shannon area were completely blocked for several hours Wednesday morning following a multi-vehicle wreck.

One of the vehicles involved, an 18-wheeler, overturned near West Hermitage Road at the Pepsi plant.

Luckily, there were no injuries reported, but motorists faced major delays in the area.
