Tuesday afternoon outbound traffic west of Barker Road on Alabama Highway near Hard Time Products was blocked at the railroad by Floyd County Police and the Rome Fire Department due to a flipped dump truck. The single-vehicle accident did not block the railroad tracks but did leave a significant amount of debris on the road. According to 911 dispatch, the driver of the vehicle may have been partially ejected during the accident.  The extent of any injuries sustained to the driver was not stated by 911 dispatch, but an Atrium Health Floyd ambulance could be seen leaving the scene.
