Wind Chill Advisory in effect

-National Weather Service-

A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for portions of North and West Central Georgia Friday night into Saturday morning to account for dangerously cold wind chills near zero.

Minimum temperatures Saturday and Sunday morning are forecast to be in the teens for much of north and central Georgia and the mid-20s for the remainder of Central Georgia.

Wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour can be expected Friday behind the cold front.

IMPACTS:

·Long duration of time below freezing temperatures will bring the threat of frozen exposed pipes.  

Wind Chills can cause hypothermia if not properly dressed for the weather.
