The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that the right eastbound lane of Highway 140 near Adairsville will be closed this week between Old Highway 140 and Big Ditch Road.

The lane will be closed from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day Monday through Thursday.

The closure is part of the continuing Highway 140 widening project that stretches from Bartow County into Floyd County.
