Man charged with trafficking cocaine
A Rome man was charged with trafficking cocaine following a traffic stop for a seat belt violation on Highway 411.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
41-year-old Desmond Bernard Whatley was found with a kilogram of cocaine,
Whatley is also charged with possession and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.
Man charged with possession of a Schedule I c0ntr0lled substance
A passenger in a vehicle stopped for a window tint violation on Dean Avenue is facing drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
20-year-old Jordan Glanton of Rome was found with approximately 80 grams of packaged marijuana following a K9 indication.
Digital scales were also seized.
Glanton is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects.
