Report: Woman threatens to “unalive” man
A Rome woman was arrested on Thursday on a felony count of terroristic threats and acts following an incident on North Blanche Avenue.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
56-year-old Betty Jean Gardner Blue said she was going to “unalive” a man while holding a pocket knife.
She was under a conditional bond, prohibiting her from having contact with the victim, resulting in an additional felony charge of aggravated stalking.
Man arrested following alleged hit and run
A Garden Lakes man was arrested following a reported hit and run on Martha Berry at Turner McCall Boulevard on Thursday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
29-year-old Alejandro Serrano caused a wreck by following too closely.
He then fled the scene.
Once apprehended, he admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.
Serrano was then found with a small amount of marijuana and a THC vape pen.
He is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, DUI, hit and run, too fast for conditions, following too closely, and a probation violation.
